ITINERARY
Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park via Butare Museum
After breakfast you will drive to Nyungwe Forest National park with an enroute stopover at Butare Genocide Museum. Nyungwe Forest is the largest tropical with a biodiversity of 86 mammal species, 280 birds and about 100 varieties of orchids. It is the most important birding site in Rwanda.

Day 3: Nyungwe Forest National Park
Chimpanzee trekking and Canopy walk in Nyungwe Forest National Park
With an early breakfast, your driver guide will take you to the Park headquarters which is your starting point before you venture into the jungle in search of the chimpanzees. The tourists spend only 1 hour with the chimpanzees and get to observe them so closely going about their own lives.
In the afternoon you will do a canopy walk where you will enjoy the sights of the fantastic birds that fly across as you enjoy the walk.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibuye and Safari boat ride to Gisenyi
Day 5: Relax in Gisenyi and drive to Musanze
With a late breakfast, this is a rendezvous day with numerous exciting activities you can opt to do on and around Lake Kivu including 1-hour boat ride on the lake, kayaking, biking along the lake shores or a visit to the fishing village. Later in the evening you will drive to Musanze for an overnight and dinner.

Day 6: Volcanoes national park
Golden Monkey Trekking in Volcanoes national park and drive to Bwindi Forest
Early in the morning you will set out in search of the beautiful golden monkey in Volcanoes national park which currently has two habituated golden monkeys’ troops that are available for visiting by tourists in the park, both of which make about 80 members. Golden monkeys in Rwanda live in the bamboo vegetation towards the base of the volcanoes. After trekking you will have lunch and drive across the border to Bwindi impenetrable national park through the scenic winding mountains with a backdrop of the Virunga Mountains.

Day 7: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Early in the morning,head to the park headquarters where you will be briefed and set off into the forests with guides and trackers who are very experienced at locating the gorillas by finding the nest the family had used the previous night. After you have found the gorillas,you will be allowed one hour in their presence.

Day 8: Kigali city tour and departure
After breakfast you will drive back to Kigali and take a city tour of Kigali and a heart filling lunch you will be transferred to Kigali Airport to catch your outbound flight back home.
