Biking Trails in Bwindi Forest

13-km trail follows a well-preserved path from the park headquarters at Buhoma crossing the Ivy river via the newly constructed bridge and uphill to Nkuringo Nteko village, the southern section of Bwindi. You may see exhilarating forest dwellers like black-and-white colobus & red-tailed monkeys, chimps, various forest birds, bushbucks, and forest elephants on the trail.

The 4-7 hrs bike trip advances in the morning and is planned by either Buhoma Community Rest Camp under the “Ride for a Woman“ community development initiative.

Mount Elgon Biking Trails

Mountain biking trails run from Sipi trading center to Chema hill in Kapchorwa town. The riding trail could take 1.5 hours and provides views of various waterfalls and the Karamoja plains.  You can hire bikes from Sipi River Lodge.
