This mosque is alternatively known as The Uganda National Mosque and it is a major symbol of Islam in East Africa. It is the third largest mosque in Africa and the largest in East Africa. Construction was started by Idi Amin and completed by Gaddafi. It has a 360-degree view of Kampala City especially its 7 major Hills. The mosque’s tower has about 2700 steps.
A guide would be available on site. Cost; 10k for locals, 25k for East Africans and 50k for Foreigners.
