ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival and Mabamba wetland excursion
Upon arrival, you will be picked up by your Uganda Gorillas & Wildlife Safari driver guide and transferred to your hotel for refreshment and later head to Mabamba Wetland to catch scenery of birds. The most sought out for Shoe billed Stork can be seen in this swamp.

Day 2: Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary & Murchison Falls NP
On the second day of the Uganda Gorillas & Wildlife Safari, you’ll drive north of the capital Uganda to Murchison Falls National Park. The park derives its name from the mighty Murchison Falls, this will be a very scenic drive with lots of rolling hills, rivers and people that will catch your attention

Day 3: Murchison Falls NP
After an early breakfast you will go out on an African safari game drive to explore the northern part of the park as early in the early morning animals are the most active thus offering the best time to spot wild animals like elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, different species of antelopes and many tropical birds may all be spotted during the game drive.
In the afternoon you will take a boat safari to the bottom of the falls after which you can hike to the top of the falls. From here you have a wonderful view and fantastic photography opportunities. This will mark the end of the 2nd day of the Uganda Gorillas & Wildlife Safari.

Day 4: Kibale Forest National Park
Start your fourth Uganda Gorillas & Wildlife Safari day after breakfast and transfer to Kibale NP via Fort Portal. The long drive is incredibly scenic, passing through tea plantations and the lush green countryside which characterizes so much of Uganda. Spend the late afternoon relaxing and enjoy a lovely view of the forest and its wildlife.

Day 5: Kibale Forest & Bigodi Nature Walk
Kibale Forest National Park boasts the highest number of primate species in the world, including chimpanzees. You will be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing and later head out with an experienced ranger for chimp tracking and once you locate the chimpanzees, you will have a full hour with them.
After lunch, you will go on a swamp walk that will take you through grassland, small communities and some beautiful scenery, where the locals are likely to greet you with enthusiastic waves.

Day 6: Transfer To Queen Elizabeth National Park
With a rendezvous Uganda Gorillas & Wildlife Safari morning, you will then continue your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. located at the base of the majestic Rwenzori Mountain range, adjacent to Lake Edward and Lake George. In the late afternoon you will go for a game-drive into the park.

Day 7: Game Drive and Boat safari Kazinga channel
Today you wake up early and head out for a long game drive in time to see the first rays of light. You will search for all the wildlife in the park and are likely to come across elephants, buffaloes, lions, waterbucks, leopards, Ugandan kobs, and many warthogs.
In the afternoon you will take a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel which joins Lake George and Lake Albert. Here, you will see a lot of hippos as well as a variety of other animals which come to the waterhole to drink or bathe. You can expect to see buffaloes, crocodiles, bathing elephants, and a wide range of beautiful birds.

Day 8: Lake Mutanda and canoe excursion
Drive to Lake Mutanda on your Uganda Gorillas & Wildlife Safari adventure drive and cross a beautiful part of the country often referred to as ‘the Switzerland of Africa’. You will pass the countryside and a bamboo forest and have great views over the Virunga Mountains and here, lake Mutanda, you can conduct a canoe excursion.

Day 9: Gorilla Tracking Experience in Bwindi forest
Brace yourself for a major Uganda Gorillas & Wildlife Safari adventure highlight of a lifetime with Bwindi’s gentle giants: the endangered mountain gorilla.
You will be transferred to the Park headquarters for a briefing before you venture into the jungle for your Gorilla Trekking.The time taken to track the gorillas can be as few as two hours to as many as seven hours. Once the gorillas have been located, your group will be allowed a maximum of one hour with them.

Day 10: Return to Entebbe and Departure
After breakfast at the lodge, you will drive back to Entebbe Airport for your departure flight.
