ITINERARY

Day 1: Welcome to Uganda

On arrival at Entebbe international airport you will be received by our guide and transfer you to your lodge along the shores of Lake Victoria for relaxation and Overnight.

Drive time: 30-45 minutes

Overnight: Speke resort Munyonyo

Day 2: Drive to Jinja the adventure capital of East Africa

After morning breakfast you will depart for Jinja, Jinja town is one of those colonial fashion cities located at the source of the mighty River Nile, on arrival you will check in to your lodge for relaxation and Lunch and later in the afternoon you will enjoy boat cruise to the source of the Nile and later return to the lodge for overnight.

Drive time: 3-4 hours boat cruise is 1-1:30 minutes

0vernight: Haven River lodge

Day 3 and 4: Drive to Sipi falls and hike to the sipi Falls

After morning breakfast you will start your drive to Sipi falls, this magnificent set of water falls are located at the base of Mount Elgon one of Uganda’s prominent land marks with some of Africa’s Largest Caldera, on arrival you will check in to your lodge for relaxation and overnight, next day you will enjoy breakfast dress on your hiking gear and start your 3-4 hour hike to see this spectacular waterfalls and later return to the lodge for relaxation and overnight.

Drive time: 5-6 hours

Overnight: Sipi River Lodge

Day 5: Drive to Moroto for Cultural experience

After morning breakfast you will depart Sipi falls via Pian upe game reserve and the rolling hills of Nakapiripiiti, as you will drive through the vast cattle corridor on arrival in Moroto you will check in to your lodge for lunch and later in the afternoon enjoy walking in the town to see the market and later you will drive to the Nomadic kraals to spend time with the Karamojong warriors and later return to the lodge for later dinner and overnight.

Drive time: 5-6 hours

Overnight: Hotel Africana Moroto

Day 6: Drive to Kidepo valley national park

After morning breakfast you will depart for Kidepo valley national park, this is perhaps one of the best wilderness areas in Uganda with stunning wildlife viewing, on arrival you will check in to your lodge for relaxation and if time allows you will enjoy evening game drive in the park as you look out for the rear cheetahs in the park.

Drive time: 6-7 hours

Overnight: Kidepo savannah lodge

Day 7: Morning walking safari and evening game drive

After morning breakfast you will head to the park to meet the armed ranger guides for a walking safari in the park, encountering African wildlife is one of the best experiences in Uganda, after the walk you will continue with a short game drive in the park and after return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation and later enjoy evening game drive in the park.

Game drive time: 4-5 hours

Overnight: Kidepo savannah Lodge

Day 8: Travel to Gulu city

Enjoy your last morning drive and after head off to Gulu city, this is one of the biggest NGO bases during the Lord’s resistance army rebel war that displaced thousands of people and this drive will also take through incredible landscapes on arrival you explore the city, visit markets and drive to your lodge for overnight.

Drive time: 5-6 hours

Overnight: Church hill courts

Day 9: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park

After morning breakfast you will depart for Murchison falls national park, this is one of the prime game viewing areas in Uganda, mighty Nile crosses through, many wildlife are attracted to the source of Nile, the boat cruise are extra ordinary, on arrival you will check in to your lodge for relaxation and overnight.

Drive time: 6-7 hours

Overnight: Paraa safari lodge

Day 10: Morning Game drive and Afternoon boat Cruise

After morning breakfast you will head for a game drive in the Nile delta where there is a huge concentration of wildlife that comes to drink water on the shores of Lake Albert and the Albert Nile after the drive you will return to the lodge for quick lunch and after transfer to the jetty for a boat cruise to the bottom of the Falls where you will expect to encounter crocodiles, hippos, elephants and later return to the lodge for relaxation and overnight.

Boat cruise: 4-5 hours and the drive is 3-4 hours

Overnight: Kikonko Lodge

Day 11: Morning Delta cruise and Drive to Albert

After morning breakfast you will check out and drive to the jetty for a morning delta cruise, this cruise is extra ordinary for bird watching and later you will return to the jetty and start your drive to Lake Albert, this is one of the most extra ordinary viewpoints in Uganda on arrival you will check in to your lodge for relaxation and overnight.

Day 12: Drive to Kibale Forest and explore Bigodi Swamp walk

After morning breakfast you will start your drive to Kibale forest national park, on arrival you will check in to the lodge which is situated in the forest that is a home to the chimpanzees, later you will drive to Bigodi wetland for a primate walk and later return to the lodge for overnight.

Drive time: 5-6 hours

Overnight: primate lodge Kibale

Day 13: Chimpanzee tracking and Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After morning breakfast you will drive to Kibale forest ranger point for a briefing about the trek by the park rangers, after you will head to the forest to start trekking the chimpanzees, this trek will take you 3-4 hours and on locating the chimpanzees you will return to the lodge for refreshment and later drive to Queen Elizabeth national park for a short evening game drive in the Kasenyi plains.

Drive time: 3 to 4 hours chimp trek and 2-3 hour drive to QENP

Overnight: Mweya safari lodge

Day 14: Morning Game drive in Kasenyi plains and Afternoon boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park

After early morning breakfast you will depart for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains, where you will expect to encounter wildlife like lions, hyenas, leopards, elephants, buffalos and Uganda Kob after you will drive to the jetty for a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel famous for its elephant population.

Game drive time: 4-5 hours and boat cruise 2 hours

Overnight: Mweya safari lodge

Day 15: Drive to southern Queen Elizabeth national park

After morning breakfast you will depart for southern part of Queen Elizabeth national park for a game drive in search of tree climbing lions that traverse the open plains of the park on arrival you will check in to your lodge for lunch and later head out for an evening game drive in the park, some of the wildlife in the area include leopards, Giant forest hogs, elephants, hippos, Topi and later return to the lodge for overnight.

Drive time: 2-3 hours and game drive 3-4 hours

Overnight: Enjojo Lodge

Day 16: Drive to Bwindi impenetrable Forest

Enjoy your last game drive in the Ishasha plains and later return to the lodge for refreshment and full breakfast, then after you start your drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park on arrival you will check in to your lodge for relaxation and overnight.

Drive time: 2-3 hours

Overnight: Buhoma havens lodge

Day 17: Gorilla trekking experience

After morning you will transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing by the park rangers, during the briefing period the trackers are a busy in the forest locating the mountain gorillas after you will start your trek in to the forest, on locating the mountain gorillas toy will spend 1 hour with them and return to the lodge for overnight.

Gorilla trekking time: 2-8 hours

Overnight: Buhoma havens lodge

Day 18: Drive to Lake Bunyonyi

After Lazily breakfast you will drive to Lake Bunyonyi which is one of the deepest lakes in Uganda with stunning views on arrival you will check in to the lodge and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Drive time: 3-4 hours

Overnight: Bird nest resort

Day 19: Drive to Lake Mburo

After lazily morning breakfast you will drive to Lake Mburo national park for a game drive in search of wildlife like giraffes, zebras, eland, impalas, Buffalos and abundant bird life.

Drive time: 4-5 hours

Overnight: Mihingo Lodge

Day 20: Bush walk and departure

Early morning walk safari in the park with park ranger and later start your drive to Entebbe via the Equator line, on arrival in Entebbe depending on your flight schedule you will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey.

End of Tour

The 20 Days Experience Uganda Safari Holiday ends here. Any accommodation needed after end of trip will cost you an extra amount.
