Overview

The 3 day Akagera wildlife safari will feature morning and evening game drives and a boat safari on Lake Ihema. On your visit to Akagera National park which is Rwanda’s biggest game conservation, you will enjoy views of Elephants, buffalos, giraffes, antelopes, Impalas, and zebras among others. You will also enjoy a Kigali city tour where you will visit the museum and the Genocide Memorial Center.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Transfer to Akagera National park

On arrival at the airport, you will be picked up by your driver guide,with a short briefing about the trip you will be transferred to Akagera national park which is about two hours away from Kigali.

On arrival you will enjoy a hearty filling meal and after which you will enjoy a boat ride on Lake Ihema in the afternoon.

Day 2: Wildlife Game drives in Akagera national park

With an early breakfast, you will start the day with an early morning African Safari game drive through the park in search of lions, Elephants, Buffalos, Masai Giraffe and many more.

You will return to the lodge for lunch and refreshment after which you will in the afternoon you will have another game drive in the afternoon after in search of more animals including Gazelles, Impala, Baboons, Oribi, Butchel’s zebra, Topi, Bush baby, Leopard and bushbuck, Elands.

Day 3: Transfer to Kigali and departure

You will leave Akagera National Park and depart for Kigali where you will enjoy a city tour including a visit to the museum and the genocide memorial site. After which you will be dropped off to the airport for your outbound flight.
