ITINERARY
Day 1: Welcome to Uganda
On arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be welcomed by a representative from Gap Travels Uganda and transferred to your booked hotel for relaxation and overnight.
Day 2: Drive to Kibale Forest National Park
After morning breakfast at your lodge at about 7:30 am our guide will pick you up and start your drive to Kibale forest national park, this unique forest is located in south western Uganda boasting over 13 primate species including Chimpanzees and nocturnal primates such as pottos, bush babies, on arrival you will check in to your lodge for relaxation and overnight.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking Experience
With goodnight sleep, you will enjoy morning breakfast and transfer to the park for a briefing by the park rangers, the rangers will give you the back ground of conservation of chimpanzees and the troops living in the forest, after the briefing you will be split in to smaller groups and then trek in to the forest to look out for the chimpanzees on locating them you will spend 1 hour with them and after return to the lodge for relaxation and later you can enjoy option activities like Bigodi wetland walks, birding , night forest walks.
Day 4: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After morning breakfast you will drive to Queen Elizabeth national park, the park is dissected by Kazinga Channel which is a great habitat for wildlife like Elephants, Buffalos, Hippos and Crocodiles on arrival you will check in to your lodge and enjoy afternoon boat cruise and later you do an evening game drive in the park in search of predators like lions, leopards, hyenas and antelopes that traverse the kasenyi plains.
Day 5: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After early morning breakfast you will start your drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park, this drive will take you through the rolling hills of kigezi on arrival you will check in to your lodge for relaxation and overnight.
Day 6: Gorilla trekking experience
On this you will be on sight to face one of your greatest wildlife encounters, after morning breakfast your guide will pick you up from the hotel and transfer to the park offices for a registration and briefing about the gorilla trekking, after the briefing you will start your trek on foot with the guides and the armed guards, this trek will through the beautiful forest cover , you may encounter birds and other smaller wildlife like duickers and monkeys on locating the mountain gorillas you will spend 1 hour with them and return to the lodge for relaxation and overnight.
Day 7: Flight back to Entebbe
After morning breakfast you will bid farewell to the lodge and transfer to the airstrip for your domestic flight from Bwindi impenetrable national park to Entebbe on arrival you will connect to your onward journey.
End of Tour
The 7 Days Uganda Gorilla and Chimpanzee Safari ends here. Any accommodation needed after end of trip will cost you an extra amount.
